Composition I and II are small-series furniture pieces with a strong emphasis on geometry and composition. The aesthetics of these pieces become a function in themselves; using these cabinets creates decorative, art-like situations where feelings, attachment, and association play a greater role. Storing and displaying objects on them provides a different context, emphasizing the items' quality or creating tension and contrast. The concept is to achieve eye-catching visuals, whether in a positive or negative light, leaving the interpretation up to the viewer, while using low-tech materials and methods, and minimizing waste. The title of these objects is a reference to 20th-century abstract painters like Kandinsky and Mondrian.
Here are photos of the prototype and 1:5 scale models of the concept. The piece has been exhibited in 360 Design Budapest and Salon Budapest in 2024.
